Frequently Asked Questions

If there are questions which we haven't answered, please feel free to contact us.

Why do you need my contact details?

If we have any queries regarding your order, we would like to resolve it as soon as we can. We will only use your email address for these purposes, unless you would like to be on our mailing list to hear about our special offers.

Why are your garments not 'dead cheap'?

It's simple, Mini Me Collections:

  • Does not produce thousands of items
  • Does not get our garments made in less developed countries
  • Uses excellent quality fabrics
  • Uses skilled adults who are based in the UK to make these garments
  • Ensures that our garments are well made
  • Has higher production costs due to the bespoke nature of our items
  • Only produces a few items of one style so your wearing a limited edition garment

With this in mind, we have kept our prices to the lowest we can. We hope that you realise that the quality and workmanship of the garments that you purchase justifies the price you pay.

How long do made to measure/order items take?

Normally about 2-3 weeks as it's handmade especially for you . If you need it earlier than that, please let us know and we can see what we can do. Less than a week turnaround will incur an extra charge.

How do I take the measurements?

Don't worry we will send you an email which outlines what measurements we need. We can even help you with a phone call if it makes it easier.

Why havent you done any clothes for dads?

I hope that in the summer we will be producing matching clothes for dads. We are currently in production of loungewear for the whole family including dads.

Where do you delivery to?

At the moment we only deliver in the UK. It is worth contacting us if you wish to place an order outside the UK as we can send parcels under certain circumstances.

How much will delivery cost?

As a small business, we have tried to keep the prices down as much as possible and offer £4 postage for those of you who don't mind waiting an extra couple of days. Unless you are based in the following areas where delivery is free: Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Shenley, Bushey and Stanmore.

UK Delivery Cost Delivery Time
Standard (2nd class) for up to 2kg  £4.00 3-4 working days
Standard (1st Class) for up to 2 kg  £4.50 1-2 working days
Special delivery (Next day, signature required) up to 2kg  £6.50 Next working day

How do I return items?

You can only return items by post. The items have to be unworn and returned in their original condition with garment tags or other seals still attached and in tact within 7 days of receipt. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

How does sizing work?

Generally each garment will have measurements attached to it. These measurements can vary by 1/2cm as each item is handmade. There are no fancy machines used to cut the pattern pieces out, it's done the old fashioned way to enable each item to be unique.

Can I trust your company?

Well, would a little information about me help? I'm a mother to a cheeky monkey and currently a full time mum. In my past life I was in senior management in the NHS and also a Non Executive Director of a cancer charity. I'm hoping this business will kick off so I can change the lives of others around me.

We are a small new company but honesty and integrity is key to our business. If an item is out of stock we will tell you, if an item is delayed we will explain why and if you have any issues with our items we will try and resolve them.

What my motivation for setting up this store?

It's two fold really. Firstly, when I go clothes shopping I always look for good quality cotton garments. I find that the pretty looking children's dresses mostly seem to be made from synthetic fabrics so I decided to tackle this issue myself by setting up a pure cotton clothes collection. Then it got me thinking, 'mini me' fashion is now becoming increasingly popular. For example, many celebrities are dressing their children in matching outfits:

This got me thinking - why can't I design stylist affordable children and adult clothes that are co-ordinated for those special occasions. Well, after sourcing great seamstresses, UK suppliers and using my knowledge of textiles- Mini Me Collections was formed.

Secondly,  many of you mums will have your parents nearby which I'm sure is a Godsend. Unfortunately, my mum isn't near me. I would love for her to spend those precious years near me and her grandchild. So hopefully if I sell lots of outfits, this will allow me to look after my mum.
